Also known as Cross Sums, Kakuro is a fusion between a crossword and sudoku puzzle. In contrast to a regular crossword, where the hint is a word or phrase, a Kakuro hint is a number that the associated answer cells must sum up to. This is where the sudoku aspect comes into play. Each hint contains at least 2 and at most 9 answer cells, with each cell representing a single digit from 1 to 9. No duplicate digits are permitted within a hint (e.g., 4 = 1+3, but not 4 = 2+2).

Every puzzle boasts a distinct solution that can be deciphered without employing guesswork.
